In Madrid it is possible to find museums which can transport us to other parts of the world. Some of them are completely devoted to another continente, whilst other have sections devoted to other countries or regions or, at least, they usually host temporary exhibitions related to other countries. These are the main museums which can make you travel without leaving Madrid.

• African Museum Mundo Negro: museum of the combonian missionaries devoted to Africa (Calle Arturo Soria, 101).

   

• Museum of America: museum devoted to the American continent (Avenida de los Reyes Católicos, 6).

   

• National Archaeological Museum: sections devoted to Ancient Greec and Ancient Egypt, among others (Calle Serrano, 13).

   

• Museum of Anthropology: colections devoted to the territories which once were Spanish colonies in America, Africa, Asia and Oceania; frequent exhibitions with international content (Calle Alfonso XII, 68).

   

• Naval Museum: frequent exhibitions with international content (Paseo del Prado, 3).
