INTERNATIONAL FESTIVITIES CELEBRATED IN MADRID

Madrid is an international and cosmopolitan city, and, as this is the case, some of the most important festivities in the world are celebrated by several comunities in town. Getting to the places in which those festivities are celebrated is a fantastic way to approach those different cultures. These are some of the most relevant festivities:
Chinese New Year: takes place in February, especially in Usera district.
Diwali or indian Festivity of the Lights: it varies according to the indian calendar (in 2023, it was celebrated in November, with a celebration in Tierno Galvan Park).
Nouruz, or Persian New Year: coincides with the arrival of spring and the Centro Persepolis usually organizes a celebration.
Losar or Tibetan New Year: dates vary, and it is usually celebrated by several
buddist centers in town, such as Chökhorling or Thubten Dhargye Ling.Holi or Indian Colours Festivity: it usually coincides with the arrival of spring,
and in recent years there have been several related events in Madrid.
